Description of Activity:  This project was called Fakebook, which is an online generator that mimicks the real Facebook website. Students are able to create fake accounts of text book characters and then create an online profile that their character would have had in their time.  The site requires students to post at least 5 posts in order to save work and also create profile pictures and profile information. When finished, the product looks very similar to a real Facebook account, only the entire page is based on what students create. The real benefit of this program is the connection to social studies, language arts, and also it gives students a chance to make connections between characters in their stories and how those characters would act with today's technology.
