FFA/Agriculture Courses
Grades 9-12- Mr. Johnson
Technology- Drone
Contemporary Issues
Grade- 10-12- Mr. Feddersen
Technology- WeVideo
WeVideo was used for Historical Figures class for our unit on Political figures. I felt WeVideo was a good tool for this class and unit because political figures today are often known for the things they say and do on camera, such as political commercials. Therefore, the project students completed during this unit had them using WeVideo to create a political campaign commercial for a Political figure throughout history of their choosing.
Mythology
Grades 9-12- Mr. Mooney
Technology- Storyboard That
The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has many uses in agriculture but the one that we focus on primary in the Ag-Ed department is in the plant science class in the area of crop scouting. The students are able to learn how to operate the drone and become acquainted with the technology. The FFA chapter operates a corn test plot with an area producer where students get to use the UAV in real world applications
Students in Mythology were asked to describe a myth using the website "Storyboard That". The storyboards needed to teach, explain, and entertain. The Mortals in these famous Greek myths were meant to reveal general truths about human nature. Each storyboard needed to recount the main events of the myth accurately.
